Pain reducing effect
The pain reducing effect of Chukphil-tang’s herbal ingredients examined through writhing numbers
Through animal experience in which each herbal medicine extracts that consists Chukphil-tang were injected, the writing number was relevantly reduced compared to the control group, which verifies the pain reducing effect.
Arthredema reducing effect
Inflammation reducing effect of Chukphil-tang's herbal ingredients examined through the edema’s volume change
By injecting herbal medicine extracts that consists Chukphil-tang and examining the volume change of edemas, there was a relevant decrease in the volume, and the reducing effect was similar with that of Ibuprofen, a popularly used NSAID. Therefore the arthredema reducing effect was verified.
Overall improvement effect in joint functions
Adults suffering from joint function disorders were split into two groups, one group medicated with glucosamine and the other group with Chukphil-tang’s herbal ingredients. The index that represents various symptom changes, such as joint pain, stiffness, dysfunction or arthritis, was lower in the group that was medicated with Chukphil-tang ingredients compared to the group medicated with glucosamine. This verifies the overall improving effects of herbal ingredients used for Chukphil-tang have in joint functions.
