Postoperative Rehabilitation
Postoperative Rehabilitation
Maximizing the effect of surgeries
Even though a surgery is successfully carried out, patients need rehabilitative treatments to prevent relapses. Soft tissues damaged from a surgery may heal over time, but it is more effective to treat them through proper rehabilitation.
Patients who need rehabilitative treatments
-
Patients who had neck or waist surgeries, including disc disorders or stenosis
-
Patients who had knee surgeries, including cruciate ligaments or cartilages
-
Patients who had shoulder surgeries, including ligament rupture or adhesive capsulitis
-
Patients who had bone fracture surgeries
Effects
- Can prevent relapses after surgeries
- Can maximize the treating effect of surgeries through rehabilitation
- Can recover the joint movements more quickly
Treatments
Chuna Manual Therapy
A treatment in which spinal cords or joints are pushed and pulled for adjustment. It can alleviate pain, while improving the meridian (Hyul) and the chi (Ki) circulation along with better posture. The intensity and frequency of the treatment may vary, depending on the patient's conditions.
CPM(Continuous Passive Motion) Treatment
The device helps activate the joint movements, which are easily diminished after shoulder, knees, or hip joint surgeries, in order to prevent the joints’ range of motion from decreasing and to help heal and regenerate the cartilage.
Medicinal Acupuncture
The medicine is directly injected in the painful area, or the acupoints. The medicinal injections are made from herbal medicine extracts. The type of injection may vary depending on the patient’s conditions or constitutions.
Bee Venom Acupuncture
The medicine is directly injected in the painful area, or the acupuncture points. Bee venom is highly effective in treating pain and inflammation. It is also effective in treating intractable joint disorders, or spinal cord disorders.
Herbal Medicine
Herbal medicine reduces inflammation, pain, and edema. It is also helpful in regenerating cartilage and nerves.
Manual Therapy
Physical therapists manually treat the patients’ stiff joints for smoother movement. Through manual therapy, the treatment effect of surgeries can be maximized.
